The Part-Time Sales Associate is responsible for placing merchandise on the sales floor, maintaining cleanliness and organization of front of the store, and providing cashier and customer service

Responsibility Description:


Support management in daily store operations and ensure store procedures and protocols 

Provide cashier and/or carry out services as scheduled

Maintain sales floor organization, stock, and cleanliness

Assist as needed to unload, sort, and process donations

Assist in store recovery as needed

Assist in the supervision, placement, training, and cross-training of all program participants assigned to the thrift store

Promote a collegial atmosphere within all thrift store departments, working cooperatively with all team members to help them and the department attain their overall goals

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, or GED

Experience:

Two (2) years’ retail and/or thrift store experience

Proven competencies in sales, products, and service

Requirements:

Valid state-issued driver license and clean driving record

Able to work all shifts and overtime as scheduled by the General Manager

Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and email

Trustworthy

Physically able to lift up to 30 pounds multiple times a day

Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods

Strong interpersonal skills

Proven ability to resolve issues in a calm and efficient manner

Servant leader; ability to manage multiple personnel in a professional manner

Quick learner and enjoys the challenge of taking on new assignments

Willingness to be a team player
